Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
From The Byers Family ...
It's the third child syndrome ... we're behind on most things including getting out a Christmas Card. So this year we are going high-tech and sending out a card on Laura's school blog. Please feel free to leave a comment!!
The Lord has been good to us. Much has changed and happened in the past two years. Here is an update ...
In March 2006 we moved into our new, old home. The first part of the cape cod was built in 1796. Additions were made in 1810, in the 50's, in the 90's and then again in 2008 by us. We are so glad to finally have moved to Gaithersburg. God has already answered many prayers and desires. Last year we were able to host our first PC family and this year we are doing the same again! We are also able to host other church-related activities. This has been a lot of fun and brought us much joy.
After our move, the next best thing happened ... baby Byer's #3 arrive in February, 2008!
Avery Grant Byers is a blessing to have. He will soon be one year old. Here is a picture of him now ...
Adelaide is now 4 years old. She is our bubbly, socialite, who for any entire year asked us every morning upon entering her room ... "Who are we going to see today?" She loves to be with people, talk and is often the life of the party (a very good thing for a family filled with introverts). Her favorite activities are art and playing with her brothers. This February she will start Kindergarten with mom.
Addison is 71/2. He is our sweet, loyal, loves one-on-one guy who can outdo anyone in asking questions. We are most often greeted with a question first thing in the morning and then usually finish the day out with "Addison, you'll have to save your questions for tomorrow." He does very well in school, loves history and science and pays a lot of attention to detail. One remark he made when entering George Washington's house (Mount Vernon) was "Is that moulding?" He also said he wished he could live there.
Family life is very busy with homeschooling, church, Steve's job, hospitality, care group and the kid's activities. During our business, this time of the year is a great time to remember the blessings of friends and family such as yourself. Thank you for your love to our family. Have a wonderful New Year and may you experience God's grace in your life as you recall the unclouded revelation of his son - whom he sent to die for our sins. Blessings to you all.
